      HOWELL - Registration for Howell kindergarten pupils will be held at Howell Middle School North, 501 Squankum-Yellowbrook Road. Parents of children slated to attend the Adelphia, Aldrich, Griebling, Newbury or Taunton schools must register Feb. 2; and those attending the Ardena, Greenville, Land O' Pines, Ramtown or Southard schools must register Feb. 9 between 9 a.m.

Pupils enjoy new playground

      JACKSON - Children at the St. Aloysius School, Bennetts Mills Road, are jumping for joy about a new playground. "The school has been without a playground for over a year because the previous structure had been dismantled as part of the ongoing construction of the new St. Aloysius Catholic Church," public relations coordinator Olive Taylor said.

School district, township to pursue shared services

      JACKSON - Municipal officials have hired a consultant to examine the ways in which the township and the Jackson School District can share services. Proposals for the contract were received from three firms - Jersey Professional Management, Patriot Consulting and the Concorde Group - and were reviewed by the Township Council and the administration.
