      Spinella, Kates lead Cougars over CBA
      Defensive intensity is the difference
            Thirty-two minutes of will. That's how Stephen Spinella described Colts Neck's 56-47 win over Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) Thursday. Spinella, a forward, was called upon to guard one of the Shore's best scorers in Bryan Neller, and at the same time still contribute offensively (15 points).

      Reaching for position

Puglisi won the match 8-5 to help his team to a 47-9 victory. The Rebels are picking up right where they left off last season after going 21- 2 a year ago, led by Cody Fobes, who went 37-3 a year ago, en route to a second-place finish at the state championships. The team is also fresh off winning the Battle of the Beach in Delaware. Fobes placed second in the the 135-pound division, while teammates Joey Langel, Harry Turner and Mike Bonfig each took top honors in their respective weight classes. The team is back in action this weekend at the Roselle Park Tournament.
