            Mrs. Graziano, 94, of Lakewood, died Dec. 20, 2007, at St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Long Branch and Florida before relocating to Lakewood in 1991. Before her retirement, Mrs. Graziano was a seamstress with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

      Richard T. Pelphrey
            Mr. Pelphrey, 57, of Kinnelon, died Dec. 17, 2007, at home. Born in Chandler, N.C., he was raised in Riverdale and had lived in Oak Ridge and Howell before moving to Kinnelon in 1993. Mr. Pelphrey, a 1976 graduate of Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky., was a salesman in northern New Jersey his entire life.

            Mr. Kessler, 97, of Lakewood, died Dec. 22, 2007, at Harrogate Health Center, Lakewood. Born in Germany, he relocated to the United States at age 15 months and resided in Indiana, Texas and Middletown before moving to Lakewood in 1995. He was employed by the Department of Institutions and Agencies from 1946 until his retirement in 1973.

            Mr. Melyan, 79, of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, died Dec. 25, 2007, at Bayshore Health Care, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, he had lived there before moving to Cliffwood 33 years ago. He was a truck mechanic for Hostess Cakes, Woodbridge, for 35 years, before retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army during the KoreanWar.

            Mrs. Becker, 89, of Howell, died Dec. 26, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in New York City and had resided in Freehold before moving to Howell 54 years ago. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Becker was employed by Precision Filaments Inc., Freehold. She was also known throughout the area as a gifted cake and candy maker.
