Association for the Blind seeks driver volunteers
      The Monmouth County Association for the Blind is seeking driver volunteers in the Jackson area on an as-needed basis. Volunteers will assist members in getting to their dinner meetings inWall Township and back home. The meetings are held the second Monday of every month from 6-8 p.m. Volunteers are invited to stay for dinner.

Stallone will not seek new term on council
      JACKSON - Township Councilman Angelo Stallone has announced that he will not seek re-election this spring. Stallone was elected to office in 2006 when Jackson switched from a Township Committee to a Township Council form of government.

Black American impact on music to be discussed
      JACKSON - The public is invited to listen to and sing along with the classic songs of Lena Horne, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole and Fats Waller with host Fred Miller at 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive. Miller will be the pianist, singer and narrator for this musical program about American singers.
