Use of disabled people for attack is appalling
      It was an act so appalling I could not imagine it could be true. I read with horror the news story of how two women with Down syndrome - with limited intellectual ability - were identified as the "suicide bombers" in the Feb. 1 attack in a Baghdad pet market.

Community members are asked to support 2008 Relay for Life
      On Feb. 24 the American Cancer Society's local Relay for Life (the New Egypt area relay covering Jackson, Plumsted, and many of our sister communities) will be holding its seventh annual kickoff celebration. This event marks another opportunity for our neighbors, cancer survivors and families to join together in a collective battle to eliminate cancer.
