      Flounder season in the Garden State is almost here
            All we can do now is wait for water temperatures to rise as New Jersey charter boat captains and anglers prepare for striped bass and winter flounder fishing to turn on. With bass season already on, winter flounder season in the Garden State starts March 23 through May 21 with a 12-inch minimum size and a 10-fish limit.

      Winston looking for a three-peat in A.C.
      Jackson senior looks to wrestle his way to another state title
            Scott Winston proved why he may be the best wrestler pound for pound in the state last weekend. The Jackson High School senior, who is headed to Rutgers next fall, met little resistance last Saturday to defeat Howell's Jason Ecklof in the finals of the 160-pound weight class to claim his third consecutive NJSIAA Region VI championship.
