      Young harness driver Marx paying his dues
            Like many 21-year-olds joining the work force, Mike Marx Jr. works very long hours. But, that is where the comparison ends between him and his peers. You won't see Marx in a suit and tie. He works outdoors, driving and training standard bred racehorses. The hours are long and the work very hard, but, very rewarding at the same time.

      Warriors lacrosse wants to pick up where it left off
            The 2007 season for the New Egypt High School boys lacrosse team was highlighted with growing pains, as a young and talented Warriors squad finished with an overall mark of 8-11. NewEgypt closed its season on a positive note, winning three of its last four games to add respectability to a season littered with pockets of inconsistency.

      Goetz boys cap season with a 25-7 mark
            The Goetz Intermediate School boys basketball team recently completed another successful season, finishing the year with a gaudy 25-7 overall mark. Coach Steve Bado praised the work of his troops, citing winning his sixth Ocean County Intermediate SchoolAthletic League BlueDivision championship in the last eight years as one of the key highlights.
