Comedy Night April 26 at Cassville firehouse
      A Comedy Night will take place April 26 at the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company, 785 Miller Ave., Jackson. The show will feature acts by J. Gemini Lombardi and headliner John Pizzi. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 9 p.m. No one under age 21 will be admitted. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased any Tuesday night from 7-10 p.m.

      The Lakewood Community School is accepting reservations for a historic tour of Lakewood scheduled for May 13. Tour guides Edith and Sheldon Wolpin will again conduct the tour, which will include Lakewood recreational and municipal facilities, schools, churches, synagogues, the Strand Theater, the Lakewood Heritage Museum and more.

      Golf instruction for the adult beginner, intermediate and youth will be offered by the Lakewood Community School. Hourly day and evening classes will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at the driving range of the Lakewood Country Club, Lakewood, for six weeks commencing April 29.

Runners to raise awareness of neurofibromatosis effects
      The Jersey Shore Relay is set for April 19 and some of its participants hope the event will raise awareness of neurofibromatosis, popularly called NF, a childhood disorder that affects nerve tissue. Among the hundreds of runners will be members of 22 teams who will be wearing bright yellow shirts identifying themselves as supporters of NF awareness.
