Two students from Jackson Memorial High School were among the award winners in the Ocean Camera Club High School Photography Competition. Candace Senatore was awarded first place in the landscape/waterscape category for "Sunset Serenity," and Alyssa Kovacs was awarded third place in the photojournalism category for "Avoid." Fourteen students from the high school were given honorable mentions.

The competition attracted 738 photographs from 326 students representing 29 high schools throughout Ocean and Monmouth counties. Competition judging was held April 5 at Lakewood High School.
