Jackson resident supporting Porter for town council Election time has come around again in Jackson and, more than usual, politics as practiced here is the name of the game. I have lived in Jackson for 30 years and have voted in every election held in this town since then. Nothing much has changed that I can see except that it keeps getting harder and harder to live here. The quality of life here is going down the drain and no one in a position of authority or responsibility seems to care. It's the same old stuff that I hear every election - lots of promises, but no action. That is why I am going to vote for Todd Porter, who is running for Township Council in the election coming up in May. Yes, he is young and doesn't have as much experience in public service as some others, but he is a veteran when it comes to fighting for the good of others. He has had some amazing success in the battles he has chosen to fight. He doesn't come on strong with grandiose ideas and opinions, but he isn't shy about saying what he means or defending positions he has taken. In plain and simple words, he can get things done. Todd Porter is the kind of person we need representing us in this town. I strongly urge anyone dissatisfied with things the way they are to get behind him in his efforts to get elected. Who knows where he will take us and what good he will accomplish on our behalf? Bernard Foley Jackson |
