      Jackson girls lax gets contributions from many
      Platoon system in net and potent offense have made for 10-1 record
            Kierstyn Mabey scored her 100th career goal as the Jackson Memorial High School girls' lacrosse team defeated rival Toms River north 11-9 last Friday in a Shore Conference A South game. Mabey finished with the hat trick, scoring two goals in the first half, as the Lady Jaguars clung to a 5-4 lead at intermission.

      Jackson Memorial has 10-2 mark
            With four victories last week, the Jackson Memorial High School baseball teamimproved its overall record to 10-2. The Jaguars knocked off Brick Memorial, Toms River North, Southern andMiddletown South en route to picking up its 10th triumph of the season.

            A young and inexperienced New Egypt High School baseball team has relied on the leadership and hot bat of Dylan Rowley to win eight of its first 13 games. Rowley provided theWarriors with the key blow again Saturday, a two-run single in the first inning as, new Egypt rolled to a 6-3 win over Robbinsville at Waterfront Park.

            The Howell-Jackson Knights of ColumbusCouncil 6201will be holding its 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday,May 19th at the Pine Barrens Golf Club in Jackson. This year's event is being held in memory of Brother Brian Sweeney, an activemember of the council who passed away last year. The cost is $175 per player, which includes breakfast before an 8:30 a.m.
