JMHS students earn honors in photo contest
      Two students from Jackson Memorial High School were among the award winners in the Ocean Camera Club High School Photography Competition. Candace Senatore was awarded first place in the landscape/waterscape category for "Sunset Serenity," and Alyssa Kovacs was awarded third place in the photojournalism category for "Avoid.

Golf outing will benefit school's athletic dept.
      The Jackson Memorial High School Athletic Department will host its second annual Jags Classic Golf Tournament on June 13 at the Hanover Golf Club, Jacobstown. Registration will be held 1:30-2:45 p.m., with a shotgun start at 3 p.m. There will be raffles, an auction and door prizes, as well as a dinner buffet.

Blood drive June 2
      New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) will conduct a blood drive 2:30-8 p.m. June 2 at the Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Qualified donors should be 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in generally good health. Donors must present photo ID or signed ID and know their Social Security number.

Summer golf instruction offered in Lakewood
      LAKEWOOD - Summer golf instruction will be offered by the Lakewood Community School for the adult beginner, intermediate and youth. Hourly day and evening classes will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at the driving range of the Lakewood Country Club for six weeks beginning June 24. The fee is $40 for the sixweek program.
