      Joseph L. Coyne
            Mr. Coyne, 59, of Augusta, Ga., died April 18, 2008. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans and a coach for various athletic teams. Mr. Coyne is survived by a son, Joseph Charles Coyne of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Tina Polhemus of Jackson; four brothers, Jack Coyne of Punta Gorda, Fla., Steven Coyne of Bellview, Fla.

      Melvin Leroy Summer Sr.
            Mr. Summer, 78, of Jackson and formerly of Millstone, diedMay 9, 2008, at CentraStateMedical Center, Freehold Township. He was a 52- year member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local No. 24.Mr. Summer was a coach in theMillstone Township Little League and a committeeman for the Boy Scouts ofAmerica Troop No. 116 inMillstone. His wife, Mary A. Palmer, died in 2003.

      Alma Marie Snoden Freile
            Mrs. Freile, 82, formerly of Toms River and Watchung, died May 14, 2008, at the Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Wall. She was a hair dresser and receptionist. Mrs. Freile was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Freile, in 2002. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and David Ballard of Little Silver; a son and daughterin law, Kenneth A.

      Charles M. Truax
            Mr. Truax, 86, of Shrewsbury, died May 10, 2008, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He had resided in Tinton Falls and Long Branch before relocating to Shrewsbury. Before his retirement, Mr. Truax was the general manager at Olde Union House, Red Bank. Prior to that, he was general manager at several area restaurants.
