      Resident says project will harm local parish
            My wife and I are very concerned about the impact the proposed Chelsea Commons project will have on our neighborhood and the school and church community of St. Veronica. This huge project is not a good fit for the land involved and should be fought vigorously by St. Veronica's and the entire church community, as well as the Candlewood neighborhood.

      Jackson officials should go after firm that owes town $3 million
            In a recent newspaper article ("Council's Tie Vote Stops Bill From Being Approved," Tri-Town News, July 17, 2008) it was reported that a company owes the taxpayers of Jackson an outrageous amount of money ($3.4 million) in past due fines.

      CWA union leader failed to serve anyone but herself
            I am well reminded of the old saying that a fish stinks from the head down as I continue to read about Carla Katz. She is my union president and as a member who has been active as both a shop steward and a member of a contract negotiating team, I have to say it is with great pleasure that the national union has finally stepped in and taken action against Katz.

      More examination needed for numbers at intersection
            The accident statistics for the intersection of County Line Road and Route 9 in Lakewood ("Accident Numbers Help Tell Story of Intersection," Tri-Town News, July 24, 2008) are important but hard to interpret in the absence of other comparable statistics.
