Jackson Day will feature rock star tribute band
      Jackson Day will be held Sept. 6 (rain date Sept. 7) at John F. Johnson Memorial Park, Jackson. The event will begin at noon with a parade from Holman School on Manhattan Street and continue into the park. Entertainment will feature a concert by Rocksplosion, a rock star tribute band, at 3:30 p.m. There will be 100 vendors with treats, games and rides.

Historical Society will host bus trip to LBI
      The Ocean County Historical Society will host a "Holiday Express" bus trip to the Museum of New Jersey Maritime History and the Long Beach Island Historical Museum on Dec. 17. The full-day trip will also include lunch at Buckalew's of Beach Haven and a performance of Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" at the Surflight Theatre.
