      Housing for seniors should be approved
            An application is before the Howell zoning board to allow a senior citizens housing development in a commercial zone. It should be approved. We do not need any more stores on Route 9. As this is next to a church, it would benefit the church financially and by having seniors next door.

      Board shows arrogance in defending superintendent
            The word "disgraceful" comes to mind when I think of pseudo-doctors (James) Wasser, (Donna) Evangelista and (Frank) Tanzini (aka Moe, Larry and Curly) for getting taxpayer funded raises with bogus degrees. Instead of making an example of these deplorable actions, the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education hires an attorney to defend them.

      Organization urges public to boycott 'Tropic Thunder'
            In their effort to create edge-of-the-line humor for maximum audience interest, Dreamworks and Paramount Pictures have definitely crossed the line into offensiveness. They insist that the big summer movie "Tropic Thunder" is making fun of the "stop at nothing" attitude of actors and the entire filmmaking industry.
