Register now to take a historic tour of Lakewood
      The Lakewood Community School has scheduled a Historic Tour of Lakewood for Oct. 7. Join tour guides Edith and Sheldon Wolpin for a tour that will include Lakewood recreational and municipal facilities, schools, churches, synagogues, the Strand Theater, the Heritage Museum and more. Lunch will be at Georgian Court University. The fee to attend is $20.

      • Jackson Day will be held Sept. 6 (rain date Sept. 7) at John F. Johnson Memorial Park, Jackson. The event will begin at noon with a parade from the Holman School into the park. Entertainment will feature a concert by Rocksplosion, a rock star tribute band, at 3:30 p.m. There will be vendors with treats, games and rides.
