Donations sought at food pantry open house
      The Jackson Women of Today will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Jackson Food Pantry in the DPW building, 10 Don Connor Blvd., Jackson. Donations of soup, canned vegetables, cereal, tuna, pasta, sauces, peanut butter, jelly, toiletry items and paper goods are needed by the food pantry.

      JACKSON — Bartley Healthcare will host its eighth annual Family Fun Day for families in the community. This free event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 (rain date Oct 5) on the Bartley Healthcare campus at the corner of North County Line Road and Bartley Road.

Salvation Army to host food extravaganza
      The Salvation Army, Ocean County Citadel, will hold it annual International Food Extravaganza dinner 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the American Legion Hall, 2025 Church Road, Toms River. Chefs from the Ocean County area will present gourmet foods from all over the world including Asian, American, Italian, German, Greek and more.

      PLUMSTED — The third annual senior citizen free Early Bird Dinner, hosted by the Plumsted Municipal Alliance Against Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and the New Egypt Elks, will be held on Sept. 19 from 2-4 pm at the Elks Lodge, 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt.
