Strand Theater to present teen talent show Sept. 19

The Strand Theater's "Teen Theater Geeks" program, directed and produced by Chloe Gesslein, will be presenting its first Teen Talent Show on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. The theater is at 400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood. All are welcome to attend.

The show will feature the following acts:

The Alert, a band consisting of 13-yearolds Travis Kazar of Marlboro (lead guitar/ back-up vocals), Tyler Epstein (bass/ vocals) and Mikey Rosen (drums), both of Manalapan, will perform classic rock.

Sibling Rivalry, with band members Ryan Marsini (16, bass), C.J. Marsini (13, keyboard and vocals), both of Middletown; Mikey Rosen of Manalapan (13, drums); Alina Zimmerman (13, vocals/percussion) and Justin Zimmerman (15, vocals, guitar), both of Howell, will perform popular tunes.

The following singers and dancers will perform: Dominique Papa, 13, Toms River; Sara Salkins, 13, Brick; Nickolas Wainwright, 13, Brick; Gianna Carrano, 17, Brick; Kelsy Cowan, 15, Brick; Mariah Gower, 17, Point Pleasant; Taylor Frizziola, 13, Jackson.

And, Meghan Setser, 17, Jackson; VincentAbramo, 15, Brick; Joey Cole, 14, Toms River; Gina Cole, 13, Toms River; Mallorie Visser, 15, Brick; Kenya Farley, 13, Jackson; Patissia Hyman, 19, Willingboro; Brian Maguire, 17, Brick; Brett Popiel, 17, Point Pleasant; Cait Kazimir, 14, Howell; Mike Skerianz, 17, Jackson; Madison Samilow, 13, Jackson; and Rosalyn Shlafman, 14, Freehold.

In addition, Ashle & Co. with Patti Crumrine, 14, Ship Bottom; Chelsea Levine, 14, Ship Bottom; Angelica Beliard, 16, Ship Bottom; and Janine Perihiacca, 17, Ship Bottom, will perform.

The group's choreographer is Ashle Dawson.

The members of the dance group, "Fiyah," Diana Quaranta, 17, Jackson; Elijah Mayweather, 15, Lakewood; and Erin Hutcherson, 19, Lakewood, will also take the stage.

The Strand Company will perform a dance number. The members of the company are Chloe Gesslein, 17, Brick; Kevin Bianchi, 16, Howell; Eva Kleinlein, 16, Brick; A.J. Mannion, 17, Brick; Sam Centrella, 15, Brick; Mary DiGangi, 16, Howell; Randi Disbrow, 16, Brick; Amanda Messenger, 16, Toms River; Melissa Lampiasi, 15, Brick; and Victoria Hooten, 16, Lakewood.

The choreographer for the Strand Company is Jess Thompson, Toms River.

The masters of ceremonies will be Chloe Gesslein and Kevin Bianchi.
