      Good decision to name aspiring interim mayors
            The person who decided that instant replay in Jackson was a good idea this week deserves kudos. Despite the delay in releasing to the public the names of the people who want to seek appointment as Jackson's interim mayor, the turnaround in the clerk's office is the best result for residents who follow this type of news.

            In the article "Residents Keep Rallying for Operation Sunscreen" which was published in the Oct. 23 Tri-Town News, an 11-year-old boy who helped 20 soldiers obtain sunscreen kits was incorrectly identified. The boy's name is Sean Powers.

      It may take decades, but we do reap what we sow
            I'll never forget the day that I rounded the corner and laid eyes on a pair of my mom's scissors. I was about 7 years old at the time, and the urge to cut something could only have been compared to what pyromaniacs must feel when they put their hands on a pack of matches.
