      Howell Rebels drop overtime thriller
           CHRIS KELLY staff Howell High School's Rob Handy (9) tries to muscle a few extra yards after making a catch during an Oct. 24 game against Brick Memorial. Howell ended up losing the game by a score of 24-17, dropping its record to 2-4. The team faces Southern Regional on Saturday.

      Howell tops RBC to complete undefeated season
            It wasn't your typical nondivision gymnastics meet. When Howell High School hosted Red Bank Catholic on Thursday, there was a lot on the line. To begin with, both teams were working on undefeated dual meet seasons. To the winner would go the spoils, an unblemished season.

            After winning the Burlington County Athletic League's Freedom Division championship for the seventh consecutive year, the New Egypt High School field hockey team has set its sights on capturing another NJSIAA Central Jersey Group I title.

      MU football wins fifth straight contest
            The Monmouth University football team continues to make its 0-3 start to the season a distant memory. The Hawks overcame a shaky start on Saturday to defeat Northeast Conference rival Central Connecticut State, 30-20, on Homecoming at Kessler Field on Saturday afternoon.
