Holiday donations for food pantry needed

JACKSON — The Jackson Women of Today will be accepting donations during November and December at the Jackson Food Pantry for the Thanksgiving and holiday distributions. The Thanksgiving distribution will held from 5-7:30 p.m. Nov. 20

Food donations needed for the holiday distributions include turkeys, canned and fresh hams, chickens, canned yams and potatoes, stuffing, canned vegetables, muffin or biscuit mixes, and other trimmings. Items needed on a regular basis include personal care items such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste, baby food, diapers, canned vegetables, tuna, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, cereal, dry pasta, canned soups, rice and tomato sauce. Dog and cat food donations will also be appreciated.
