Police to host charity event to aid families

The Jackson Police Benevolence Association Local 168 and the Jackson School District will co-host a volleyball and dodge ball event to raise funds for the families of Jackson students displaced by a recent fire at the Regency Club Apartments on South New Prospect Road, Jackson. The event will take place on Nov. 13 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Jackson Liberty High School gymnasium.

Admission will be $5 for adults. Admission for high school and middle school students will be $3, and elementary students and younger may attend for free. There will be an adult exhibition game between the McAuliffe faculty and the Jackson Police Department officers. That game will be followed by a tournament of all-student teams.
