Bartley Healthcare hosting food drive

JACKSON — A food drive is being conducted through Nov. 17 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Donations will benefit the Jackson Food Pantry. Items needed for the food drive include canned fruit and vegetables, boxed cereal and mixes, coffee, tea and other drinks, canned soup, dry and canned pasta, and snacks. Nonfood items include health and beauty aids, baby products and paper products. Donations may be dropped off at The Orchards at Bartley, 100 North County Line Road, or Bartley Healthcare, 175 Bartley Road.

Proceeds from Bartley's annual Family Fun Day held in October will also benefit the food drive and the Jackson Food Pantry. The event, which celebrates community spirit, collected 140 bags of nonperishable food and $570 from donation jars. Combined with other Family Fun Day activities, Bartley once again doubled the amount of money raised, bringing the total cash donation to $1,250.
