            It is beyond comprehension when during this crisis and the national debate on our dependence on foreign oil, New Jersey Transit is buying 1,000 new buses using diesel fuel from foreign oil and removing 1,000 buses from service that use U.S. natural gas.             Irecently attended a Freehold Regional High School District School Board of Education meeting. The meeting was a combination of extraordinary achievement and disappointing conduct. The extraordinary achievement included a student presentation on a project about driver safety for teenagers.

      State should protect people's health in the workplace
            During this season of thanksgiving, I am grateful I live and work in a state that protects my health in the workplace. But surprisingly, this is not the case for all New Jersey workers. Atlantic City's City Council recently revoked their decision to restrict smoking in casinos, forcing casino workers to continue to risk their health every day while earning a living.
