Rutgers junior goalkeeper Erin Guthrie was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American Second Team, the organization announced Friday. It is the first such recognition for a Scarlet Knight since Carli Lloyd was named Third Team All-American in 2003.

Guthrie was one of five Scarlet Knights to earn NSCAA postseason awards. She was also named First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region along with fellow classmate Gina DeMaio. Senior Alicia Hall and junior Jenifer Anzivino were each named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

DeMaio led the team with 13 assists, the most for a Scarlet Knight in a singleseason since Jennifer Gibbons recorded the same amount in 1991. She finished ranked tied for 10th-place nationally in assists. Hall was second on the team with six goals, including four game-winners. Anzivino moved from offense to defense early in the season, helping RU shut out 10 opponents in the 19 games she played in the back.

All four players also earned postseason conference honors. DeMaio and Hall were named First Team All-Big East, while Guthrie and Anzivino were named to the second team.

"Our entire program is so proud of all the players who received NSCAA honors," said Crooks. "Each made a special contribution to what turned out to be a very special season for us."
