      Resident says raise for superintendent was out of line
            As a mother of children in the Jackson school district and as a taxpayer, I find myself dismayed by recent developments concerning our schools. The teachers in this district are long ignored when it comes to compensation due for their effort toward educating our children. It appears to me that longtime Board of Education members have ignored the teachers long enough.

            Recently, entrenched incumbents of the Jackson Board of Education, Marty Spielman and Marvin Krakower, had the nerve, arrogance and utter disregard to vote yes for extending the already lucrative contract of our superintendent of schools.
