Jackson boys, girls having mixed success thus far

      The New Egypt Warriors overcame serious foul trouble and managed to escape with a 56-52 road victory over Gateway last Saturday. New Egypt's three big men — Desmond Hubert, Kevin Janowski and Dakota Havens — each spent a significant amount of time on the bench due to foul trouble. Each finished the game with four fouls.

Jackson swim team wins first meet of season

      Despite his team having lost the first three meets of their season, Jackson Memorial High School boys swim coach John Pelano remained optimistic about the direction the team is headed. The Jaguars put an end to the losing with a recent 108-61 trouncing of Howell at the Ocean County YMCA.

      New Egypt High School guard Emily Bausher scored nine of her game-high 21 points last Saturday Nin the third quarter as the New Egypt High School girls basketball team posted an impressive 43-27 victory over Lindenwald in the first round of the annual Warrior Holiday Classic.
