Health fair to be offered Jan. 17

Ocean Medical Center will sponsor "New Year New You," a health fair complete with speakers, free screenings, and fitness and nutrition tips from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 17 in the East Wind Conference Center, 425 Jack Martin Blvd., Brick.

A nutrition lecture will be held at 11 a.m. and will include the top 10 health strategies for the New Year. Conducted by a registered dietitian, the discussion will address meal planning, healthy shopping and cooking, tips on eating out, dietary supplements and more. At noon, a workshop on how to better handle stress during tough economic times will be offered. Additionally, important information on keeping bones and joints healthy and safe in the winter months as well as fitness strategies will be provided.
