Job fair planned
      LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Blue- Claws will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 7 for all 2009 part-time seasonal ballpark positions at FirstEnergy Park. Prospective employees can fill out an application in advance and drop it off at FirstEnergy Park or fax it to 732-901-3967. If an application is not filled out in advance, it can be filled out at the job fair.

      The Lakewood Community School is sponsoring a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show on March 7. This year's theme, "Bella Italia," will pay tribute to the many regions and cities of Italy such as Venice, Tuscany, Florence, the Italian Riviera and more.

      • Blood drives will be conducted by the Central Jersey Blood Center from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Knights of Columbus, 401 Bartley Road, Jackson, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at The Enclave, 65 Enclave Blvd., Lakewood. Drawings will be held for gift cards at both locations. Donors must be age 17 or over and weigh 120 pounds or more.
