Mr. Gilbert, 80, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 6, 2009, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Joyce M. Jensen Gilbert; four sons, Robert Gilbert of Old Bridge, Keith Gilbert, and his wife, Stacey, of Howell, Scott Gilbert of San Antonio, Texas, and Kirk Gilbert, and his wife, Maria, of the Stewartsville section of Greenwich; a daughter, Karen Gilbert of Venice, Fla.; a sister, Esther Woodmansee of Edison; and nine grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
