      School marks special week
            JACKSON — Students at the St. Aloysius School, Bennetts Mills Road, are being invited during Catholic Schools Week to "Celebrate Service" by volunteering in the community or parish. Olive Taylor, the school's public relations coordinator, said, "The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2009, Jan. 25-31, is 'Catholic Schools Celebrate Service.

            HOWELL — The deadline to file a nominating petition to run for a seat on the Howell K-8 School District Board of Education is 4 p.m. March 2.
