      Porter's 'Anything Goes' arrives at high school
            JACKSON — Audiences will take a musical adventure onboard the SS American as Jackson Liberty High School students present "Anything Goes." "Anything Goes," with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, will be staged at Jackson Liberty High School, 125 North Hope Chapel Road, Jackson, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28, and 2 p.m. March 1.

      NEHS senior named scholarship finalist
            PLUMSTED — New Egypt High School senior Lindsay Mann has been selected as a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship program. She was selected from among the 1.5 million students in more than 21,000 high schools who entered the 2009 National Merit Scholarship program by taking the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
