They Will Surf Again' slated for June 28
      The nonprofit Life Rolls On Foundation will hold its second northeast "They Will Surf Again" (TWSA) event 9 a.m. June 28 at Pier Village Beach, Long Branch. TWSA enables those with spinal cord injuries to get back in the water and enjoy a day of fun, sun and surf. It connects volunteers with a handful of injured individuals for the surfing.

Water main/hydrant flushing in Jackson
      JACKSON — The Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority (JTMUA) has started flushing water mains and hydrants in the township. The flushing program will take place Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Residents may experience temporary loss of pressure and discoloration of water.

Jackson Liberty hosts trip to Tropicana
      The Jackson Liberty High School Parent Teacher-Student Network (PTSN) is sponsoring "A Day at the Tropicana" trip to Atlantic City on May 17. The cost of $30 per person includes bus transportation, a '60s revival show, and $10 cash back. The bus will leave Jackson Liberty High School, 125 North Hope Chapel Road in Jackson, at 10 a.m. and will return at 6:30 p.m.

Lane Memorial 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. April 26 at Thompson Park, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown (rain or shine). The event honors Donna K. Lane, a former executive director of the Friends. Registration is $35 and includes a T-shirt, water stop and refreshments at the finish.
