            The Jersey Shore's toughest roller girls will welcome the ladies of Long Island to Asbury Park on April 25. The Jersey Shore Roller Girls' all-star travel team — the league's best players — will begin their 2009 season by squaring off against the Long Island Roller Rebels.

      Fishing starting to heat up
            Clams are the key to success in the Raritan. Great weather had everyone scrambling to the Raritan Reach in search of trophy bass. Capt. Joe G. landed his first three keepers of the season with bass to 34¼ inches and released over 17 shorts. Most anglers this past weekend reported plenty of action in the bay with hopes of bigger things to come.

      Blewett wins 100-lap main event
            Jimmy Blewett of Howell pocketed $2,500 on April 18 by winning the "Thunder at the Shore" 100-lap main event for Red Bank Sleep Shoppe Modified stock cars at Wall Stadium, Wall Township.
