      Do not cut reimbursement rate to program
            My name is David Miller, regional director for Young At Heart Medical Adult Day Care with two facilities in Ocean County, one in Brick Township and one in Jackson. Medical adult day care is a day program for the frail, elderly and senior population, as well as developmentally disabled and/or mentally challenged individuals.

      Gov. Corzine urged to leave EMT training fund alone
            The volunteer Emergency Medical Services community understands that this difficult economy requires serious belt-tightening. Gov. Jon Corzine's plan to redirect $4 million from the emergency medical technician training fund to the general fund, however, would only make things worse, especially on the local level.

      Plumsted board was wrong to kill solar project for schools
            At the May 13 workshop meeting of the Plumsted Board of Education, the board voted 5-2 to suspend the prior authorization of the board to go ahead with the solar panel project.
