      Two graduations scheduled
            JACKSON — For the first time in the history of the Jackson School District, there will be two high school graduations held in the same year. As the 2008-09 school year winds down, administrators, staff and students at Jackson Memorial High School are preparing for the school's 44th graduation ceremony. The senior class includes 405 students.

      Lakewood H.S. PALS win Spirit Award
            LAKEWOOD — Lakewood High School PALS (Pupil Assisted Learning Services) was selected by the Monmouth- Ocean Foundation for Children as the winning recipient of the Community Spirit Award for Ocean County public high schools.

      FRHSD graduations June 23
            The six schools in the Freehold Regional High School District will hold commencement ceremonies for graduating seniors on June 23. Graduation ceremonies will be held on the football fields of Colts Neck, Freehold, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan and Marlboro high schools at 6 p.m.

            HOWELL — Land O' Pines School pupil Autumn Varca may only be in the fourth grade, but she is already poised to become a published author.
