Calvary Academy student honored for artwork

Lakewood's Calvary Academy student Ariel Williams of Howell won third-place honors in the high school category of the New Jersey Department of Human Services 2009 Teen Media Contest. Ariel's work was titled "She is a survivor, She is my mother."

The 14th annual awards ceremony was held May 18 and celebrated educating young people on the responsibilities of parenthood. The winners' artwork will be featured in the DHS Office of Child Support Services 2010 calendar and was on display at the State House in Trenton from June 15-19.
