The Jackson Women of Today will hold its regular distribution of food from 5- 7 p.m. June 25 in the Department of Public Works building, 10 Don Connor Blvd., Jackson. Details: 732-833-6800.

The Crosswicks-Doctors Creek WatershedAssociation will host a lecture titled "The Benefits of Trails" at 7 p.m. June 25 at the Hope Fire Company, 82 Route 526, Allentown. Admission to the lecture is free and light refreshments will be served. Details: 609-752-1832.

The Howell-Jackson Knights of Columbus will host a fundraising event on June 26 for Lucy Littlefield at the Council home, 401 Bartley Road, Jackson. Lucy, the daughter of Scott and Kristen Littlefield and granddaughter of Deacon Jim and Kathy Littlefield, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma (a type of children's cancer) at 12 weeks old and is currently undergoing extensive medical treatment that includes chemotherapy. Proceeds from the event will go to help the family. Tickets are $30 per person (only persons over age 21 will be admitted) and will include a pasta dinner with beer, wine and soda. The Howell Library, 318 Old Tavern Road, Howell, will present its third annual teen concert, "Rock Invasion," from 6-10 p.m. June 26 on the lawn adjacent to the library. Admission to watch the concert is free, but nonperishable foods will be collected for the local food pantry. Local teen bands Exit 22, Six Sense, U4EA, Cut the Cuteness, Sunlight State and Before the After Party will perform on two stages. There will be games, water fun and prizes. Bring lawn chairs. • The Howell Historical Society will host Randall Gabrielan, chairman of the Monmouth County Historical Commission and local author, who will discuss Monmouth County's history on June 26 at 8 p.m. in the Howell municipal building, Preventorium Road, Howell. Allaire Village Inc. will present a concert double-header with the harmonies of Kate and Emily and the acoustic folk rock sounds of the David Janes Band on June 26- 27 at 8 p.m. at Allaire Village, Route 524 (4265 Atlantic Ave.), Wall Township. Local band Barnflies will present a free live outdoor classic rock performance at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson, on June 27 at 2 p.m. All are invited to hear the band's rendition of many songs made famous by the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, the Beatles, and others. A flea market hosted by the Central Jersey Italian-American Club, 36 Cpl. Luigi Marciante Jr. Memorial Drive, Jackson, will be held monthly at the club from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every forth Saturday of the month through November. The first one will be held on June 27. The "Herbal Medicine Cabinet" will be presented by Sharon Hubbs-Kreft, a certified herbalist and natural health consultant, at Calgo Gardens, 84 Cross St., Lakewood, on June 27 at 11 a.m. The seminar fee is $10. "Food for Life — Benefits of a Plant- Based Diet," sponsored by Ocean County Library's Health and Wellness Committee, will be presented by Food for Life director Suzanne Dragan at 7 p.m July 2 at the Ocean County Library, 101 Washington St., Toms River. A cooking demonstration and tasting with vegan chef Nancy Bonta Voiko will follow the free program. • The Jackson Tea Party will host a tea party rally from noon to 3 p.m. July 4 at John F. Johnson Jr. Memorial Park, Kierych Memorial Drive, Jackson. All citizens of New Jersey are invited to participate in a rally to protest what organizers say is outrageous spending that is taking place in Washington, D.C. The Jackson Municipal Alliance holds monthly meetings at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson, from 9-11 a.m. A meeting is scheduled for July 6. The alliance is an organization dedicated to providing anti-alcohol, drug, violence programs, while promoting positive, healthy decision making and fostering good citizenship for all the residents of Jackson and others who attend these programs. "How to Succeed," an interactive musical play about business ambitions and different abilities that features romance, song and dance, will be performed at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson, on July 11.
