Jean Crouthamel LaPenta
      Mrs. LaPenta, 86, of Jackson, died recently at The Orchards in Jackson. She had resided in Colts Neck for more than 40 years before moving to Jackson six years ago. Mrs. LaPenta was a comptroller for Delicious Orchards, Colts Neck, for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Samuel C. LaPenta, in 2005; and a son, Samuel, in 1984.

      Mr. Vastardis, 79, of Holmdel, died June 25, 2009, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He had resided in East Brunswick before relocating to Holmdel in 1993. He was a chef at the Red Oak Diner, Hazlet, for more than 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was predeceased by his wife, Evanthia, in 1975; and a brother, Emanuel, in 2007.

      Mrs. Dorko, 74, of East Brunswick, formerly of New Brunswick and the Port Reading section of Woodbridge, died June 29, 2009, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Alexander Dorko, died in 1993. Surviving are two sons, Alexander Dorko, and his wife, Dawn, of Jackson and David Dorko, and his wife, Patty, of Monroe; and six grandchildren.
