• A New Egypt canoeing and kayaking skills clinic will be held on Oakford Lake, New Egypt, on Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your canoe or kayak to Paradise Park on Oakford Lake for a clinic where knowledgeable paddlers from the Outdoor Club of South Jersey will share information about boats, equipment, safety practices, paddling techniques and efficiencies. Participants will enjoy a scenic, short paddle on Oakford Lake to the headwaters of the Crosswicks Creek. Bring lunch and beverage or buy lunch in town. • Funtasia Festival for Kids will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 24 at Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood.
