      I am writing this in response to the article "Random Drug Tests Gain Approval" in the Aug. 5 edition. The article concerns planned random drug testing of students in the Freehold Regional High School District. Welcome Big Brother, "Brave New World," government assuming the responsibilities of parents/families. Why? For the protection of our children.

      The iPod in my head is full of expressions and long-asked questions from my parents and other adults that were thrown around when I was growing up. Sayings like "Stop that crying or I'll give you something to cry about," "Don't make me get up," "You'll do better in school or I'll know why" and "Stop living on the edge.
