Therapy dogs sought to visit the elderly

Caregiver Canines, a new program in Ocean County offered through the nonprofit agency Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ), is seeking volunteers with pet therapy dogs to visit local senior citizens.

These visits are designed to bring great joy and provide a well-documented role in reducing stress, improving the health and self-esteem of seniors and helping the elderly cope with loss and loneliness.
