Senior Advisory Board will try to help Jackson residents

Jackson's senior residents will now have a significant and major opportunity to express their needs and dependencies for a better quality of life through the newly formed Senior Advisory Board of Jackson, reformulated and brought to the forefront by Mayor Mike Reina.

Mayor Reina has appointed several Jackson residents to be members of the new board. Their mission is to determine, assess and evaluate the needs of the entire Jackson senior community for action and subsequent implementation by the administration of Jackson.

It is the board's intention to reach out to the entire township for ideas, thoughts and suggestions by its seniors to accomplish its goals.

Questionnaires and surveys to be sent to all senior residents of Jackson are being considered. They will also reach out to the Jackson Senior Center and its members.

Several of the appointed board members live in active adult communities in Jackson and will tap that resource as well.

The board will be meeting on the second Tuesday of every month, commencing in October.

If you are a senior resident of Jackson and have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions that the Senior Advisory Board of Jackson could evaluate, please submit them to the Senior Advisory Board of Jackson Township, 95 West Veterans Highway, Jackson, NJ 08527.

As any suggestions, ideas and expressed needs are brought forward, results will be provided to the seniors of Jackson if and when appropriate and doable.

Michael Kaufman

Chairman Senior Advisory Board
