      Elizabeth "Betty" L. Jacobus
            Mrs. Jacobus, 80, of Middletown, died Aug. 18, 2009, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation, Shrewsbury. She was employed at Professional Pharmacy, Red Bank, for 15 years. Mrs. Jacobus was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Langford Jacobus; and a daughter, Elizabeth Jacobus.

      Darlene S. Brown
            Mrs. Brown, 46, of Howell, died Aug. 13, 2009, at home. She had lived in Matawan before moving to Howell 13 years ago. Mrs. Brown was a speech pathologist for the Lakewood Board of Education at the Oak Street School for the past eight years. Prior to that, she worked at Mc- Cauley School, Watchung, for 18 years.

      Clarence Wilson Jr.
            Mr. Wilson, 83, of Howell, died Aug. 24, 2009, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. A lifelong area resident, he was a truck driver for Jersey Coast Freight Lines, Neptune, for 35 years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.

      Sadie A. Heuschkel
            Mrs. Heuschkel, 95, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died Aug. 19, 2009, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Raymond Heuschkel, in 1985; and a daughter, Joyce Buchwald, in 1997.

            Mr. Waake, 46, of Howell, died Sept. 3, 2009, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was born in Manalapan and was a truck driver for Freehold Cartage Inc., Freehold Township. Surviving are two sons, Casey and Kyle Waake; his parents, Herbert V. and Satu S.

      Kathleen E. Sajor
            Mrs. Sajor, 69, of Freehold Township, died Aug. 25, 2009, at home. She worked in the human resources department at CECOM, Fort Monmouth, for 15 years, retiring in 2005. Mrs. Sajor was a member of the Sweet Adelines and a strutter for the Happy Days String Band, Philadelphia. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Michael.

      Louis William Rios
            Mr. Rios, 49, of Jackson, died Aug. 27, 2009, at Laurelton Village, Brick. Surviving are two brothers, Cedric and Steven Rios; and two sisters, Yvonne Kercado and Karen Hernandez. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Veronica's Catholic Church, Howell, followed by entombment at Maplewood Chapel Mausoleum, Freehold Township.

      Raymond W. Patterson
            Mr. Patterson, 85, of Toms River, died Aug. 31, 2009, at Bey Lea Village Care Center, Toms River. He was born in Howell and lived Lakewood before moving to Toms River four years ago. Mr. Patterson was a milkman with Edgewood Farms, Howell, which later became Welsh Farms, Neptune, until his retirement in 1989.

            Mrs. Hassard, 73, a lifelong resident of Farmingdale, died Aug. 22, 2009, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was a letter sorter for the U.S. Postal Service at the Monmouth County Regional Sorting Center, Eatontown, for 20 years, retiring in 1998. Mrs.

      Doris E. Durlacher
            Mrs. Durlacher, 78, of Howell, died Aug. 8, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a 1955 graduate of the Clara Maass School of Nursing, Belleville, and worked there as a registered nurse before moving on to St. Joseph's Hospital, Patterson. Mrs. Durlacher then retired from the Fair Lawn Manor, Fair Lawn.

            Mr. Britton, 63, of Eatontown, died Aug. 28, 2009, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was predeceased by his father, George Ellsworth Britton. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Widner Britton; two daughters, Kristin Britton of Raleigh, N.C.
