Mr. Britton, 63, of Eatontown, died Aug. 28, 2009, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was predeceased by his father, George Ellsworth Britton. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen Widner Britton; two daughters, Kristin Britton of Raleigh, N.C., and Jaime Britton of Long Branch; his mother, Helen Britton of Eatontown; a brother, Chuck Britton of Jackson; and a sister, Barbara Hamernick of Dalmatia, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
