      Gymnastics talent led by Howell
            It would be unfair to expect Freehold Regional High School District gymnasts to match their accomplishments of 2008. Last year was as good as it gets, with Howell High School's Austyn Fobes winning the state all-around title. She and state medalist Brianna Ecklof led the Rebels to the Central Jersey Section I title and a fifth-place finish at the state championships.

      Warriors have big goals for '09 soccer campaign
            The New Egypt High School boys soccer team opened the 2009 season with a pair of 7-0 victories over Trenton Catholic and Burlington City, as coach Sam Palumbo says the campaign has the makings of an "interesting year." "We have a little size and strength for once," said the Warriors' fifth year coach. "We are a very physical, very strong defensive team.
