JLHS to host band show

JACKSON — The Jackson Liberty Band Parents and Students Association will be hosting the USSBA's "Mid-Season Showcase" marching competition at Jackson Liberty High School on Oct. 11.

Jackson Liberty High School is at 125 North Hope Chapel Road, Jackson. The event will begin promptly at 1 p.m.

Competing bands include a number of premier high school units from across the state. Currently, marching bands from Pemberton, West Windsor-Plainsboro, Monsignor Farrell (Staten Island, N.Y.), Edison, Pennsauken, Point Pleasant Borough, Absegami and Passaic will be appearing.

Jackson Liberty's sister school, Jackson Memorial, will be performing as well.

In all, there will be 16 marching units performing at this early fall event. This competition is being sponsored in part by the UBBSA (an organization created to promote the education and musical development of youth) along with the Jackson Liberty Band Parents and Students Association.
