A psychic, vendor and craft show hosted by the Jackson Liberty High School Parent-Teacher-Student Network will be held at the school, 125 Hope Chapel Road, Jackson, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 14. Crafters and vendors are still needed. Tables are $20. Call 732-961-7522 for more information.

The Jackson VFW is running its annual Fall Turkey Target Shoots every Sunday until Nov. 15. Only 12-gauge, full-choke, nonported, non-altered shotguns are allowed (screw-in chokes are allowed but will be checked by the post safety officer). Bat Shalom Hadassah of Jackson- Howell will hold its monthly general meeting and presentation at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the community room of Westlake Mews, South Cooks Bridge Road, Jackson. A free Oktoberfest program will take place at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson, at 2 p.m. Oct. 17. The free program is open to the public and will feature snacks, a performance of German songs by the Lakewood Maennerchor's mixed chorus (Gemischterchor), and information about Germany. An indoor and outdoor craft and vendor fair will be held at the Jackson United Methodist Church, 58 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 17. Delaware artist Landing Lane will be the featured entertainment. All are invited to enjoy lunch and family-friendly Christian music while shopping for the holidays. The fair is held in conjunction with the church's Pumpkin Patch, which is open through the month of October and benefits the Jackson Food Pantry and Church World Service. An art auction of approximately 160 pieces of art and memorabilia will be presented by Marlin Art of New York on Oct. 17 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Admission of $10 includes refreshments and dessert. Proceeds will benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a nonprofit organization that helps those in need in the community. A used clothing sale, hosted by the Jackson Liberty High School Parent- Teacher-Student Network, will be held 1:30-4 p.m. Oct. 17. Items in usable condition, including clothing and accessories for all seasons, household items including blankets, pillows and towels, and toys in good condition, can be brought behind the high school to the parking lot near the football field. Flu shots will be available to the general public at 1:30 Oct. 20 at the Fountainhead adult community off North Cooks Bridge Road, Jackson. Dr. Sharma of Jackson will be administering flu shots to those who sign up with Fountainhead in advance and who have their medical insurance cards, identification and co-pay if applicable. The Orchards at Bartley, 100 North County Line Road, Jackson, will sponsor a free presentation 1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Dinese Fennel, a registered occupational therapist from Select Medical Rehabilitation Services, will outline conditions that can impact activity level within the senior population, such as osteoarthritis, balance and fall prevention, urinary incontinence, and insomnia. "Inkheart" starring Brendan Fraser and Helen Mirren will be shown in celebration of Teen Read Week at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Free popcorn will be provided. "Inkheart," rated PG, is a fantasy film based on the book of the same title by Cornelia Funke. This program is free and open to the public. Registration for tai chi classes for adults is currently being accepted at the Howell recreation building, 215 Preventorium Road, Howell. The program will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, for beginners from 6-7 p.m. and advanced from 7-8 p.m., starting Oct. 20 and ending Nov. 1. The fee is $50 for the five-week, 10-class session. A South America slide show will be presented by Ken Ostrand, co-founder of the international travel group International Horizons, at 2 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive. Ostrand has a doctorate in ancient history and more than three decades' experience educating adult learners using PowerPoint presentations and leading travel groups across the globe.
