Holocaust exhibit to open at museum

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — The winner of three awards, "The Exhibit: A Journey to Life," will open at the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County on Nov. 8.

This multimedia, interactive exhibit teaches the lessons of the Holocaust through the life experiences of local Holocaust survivors, and fosters awareness and activism to address genocide and human rights abuses today, according to a press release.

The exhibit will be on display from Nov. 8 through Jan. 31. The museum is at 310 Mount's Corner Drive, in the Mount's Corner shopping center, at the intersection of Wemrock Road and Route 537, Freehold Township.

Museum hours are Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum will be closed for Thanksgiving on Nov. 26. General admission is $5, or $3 for museum members and students with identification, and free to Holocaust survivors.
